Prayer Request

Helllloooo! (Obviously, this is Susie, because Ben doesn't talk like that)

Guess what? It's my birthday tomorrow! I mean, I don't want to toot my own horn, but when living with a disease that is supposed to kill you, it seems worth it to cheer a little louder when you pass some milestones. Seriously, I've been a tad convicted how slow I've been to give God credit for every day I've lived. I'm quick to thank Ben for carrying the kids and me so faithfully, and all of you who have helped us get through the fatigue that makes it so dang hard to cook dinner.

But, hear me say this: thanks be to God, for every day that he ordained for me, before one of them came to be. Thank you God, that tomorrow I will turn 34, and that I didn't die as a 33-year-old mother of 4. Thank you that Ben was not made a widower at 35 and that I got to see Annie's first two adorable teeth. Thank you that I got to give Simon his first real Bible (that - PS - is rated at least PG-13; leave advice in comments). Thank you for every moment you have given me and still have to give.

If you've been around this here website for the whole drama, then you probably have interacted with my friend Megan. She is spectacularly loyal and has helped you help us and always comes over when Ben's not home in the evening to hold Annie while I herd the kids into their room for bed. To love us is to love Megan. So, as you pray for us, please take some time and pray for Megan's sweet dad who is in the hospital after suffering some strokes. We are praying for healing, restoration, as well as an extra measure of wisdom and grace for the entire Soderberg family.

Thank you!
Susie

  2. Happy Belated Birthday Susie! Praise God that he has seen you through another year. You are a Testament to all that GOD is worthy of and able to do. You are an inspiration to me and I'm sure so many others that read your blogs. I will continue to pray for all of your family as well as your good friend Megan's father.
