update from Ben

Thank you Jesus!

Today my wife is still living and breathing.

Today the baby you are forming and creating is still moving and breathing.

Today I am still married to God's gift to me, Susie Thomas.

Today, as other days, I am loved by my Savior and my Abba Father.

Today, I have been loved by friends and family all over the world.

Today, I am thankful.

Now, it's time for a nap!

In Him,

Ben

  4. Praise God!!!!! I'm so happy/relieved I think I'm going to cry! We have been praying for you all daily since we first heard the news and will continue to do so. Bryan and I pray for you all every night before we go to bed, and we pray with Jaden before he goes to bed too - so I guess that means you're getting showered with prayers every morning :) Love you guys

  8. Ben, you can hardly imagine how much your joy and thankfulness being expressed through such a difficult time has helped me put my own petty trials in perspective. Yes, the Lord has used you to encourage at least one brother to stop whining and be much more thankful for what he has! We continue to pray as a family for you and Susie. Romans 8:28

  9. I thank God for your expression of gratitude during this chaotic newness that requires more than most people can handle at all, let alone with any grace. Yet you continue to trust our Father, giving thanks to Him and praising Him for what He IS doing, when you have every [human] reason to angrily sulk about what He is currently NOT doing.
I hope I can emulate you as you emulate Christ (I Corinthians 11:1).
